Jammin' Basketball

Welcome to Jammin' Basketball.  The Carly Stowell Foundation offers a great program for boys and girls in grades 4th to High School to learn, grow and master the game of basketball. Jammin' Basketball is about promoting skill, teamwork and knowledge in Basketball.

Spring & Summer Teams

Jammin’ Basketball, sponsored by the non-profit Carly Stowell Foundation, is a program for developing individual skills as well as allowing players to compete against similar programs from around the greater Puget Sound region.  This spring, our youth teams will be coached by senior varsity players from Kentlake and Kentwood high schools who have played and trained with the Jammin’ program over the last 4 years. There are numerous Jammin’ players competing as varsity players for Tahoma, Enumclaw, Kentlake, Kentwood, Auburn Riverside and several other area schools. The number of Jammin’ alumni moving on to play at the college level is growing each year as well.

Tryouts were held on 3/8/2012, but there is still room for your 4th - 12th grader.

Team practices will begin the following week, and most teams will begin league or tournament play near the end of March. The spring season will not extend past Memorial Day weekend. Teams will not practice during Spring Break (April 10th and 12th). Each team will have one 90 minute practice per week, and will determine its league or tournament schedule based on group consensus.

Fees are collected each season.  Cost per player will be based upon rosters of 8 players. If a team wishes to carry 10 players, the individual cost will be less, but so will playing time. Payments may be made in lump sum or divided monthly, and can be paid on-line thru the carlystowellfoundation.org website or by check.  Fees cover the cost of coaches, league and tournament participation, uniform use, gym rental, equipment and administrative costs. Financial aid is available through application to the Carly Stowell Foundation (form available on the foundation website).Cost is as follows:

Team of 8 players    300.00 per player (100.00 per mo.)

Team of 10 players  240.00 per player (80.00 per mo.)
